Meters for flats

Meters for flats and apartments

A meter measures the electricity one flat uses, behind the main DisCo meter. With a prepaid meter, tenants buy units first, so the landlord never chases anyone for light bills.

Why landlords switch to meters

Sharing one bill by number of rooms or by guesswork always feels unfair to someone.

  • Each tenant pays only for what they use
  • No more monthly bill-sharing meetings
  • No debts: no units, no light
  • Fewer quarrels between tenants

How it works

We install a prepaid meter in each flat. Tenants recharge on our website, get a token, and type it into their meter. You see every recharge on your dashboard and receive your share in your bank.

Questions

Can I install meters if the flats are empty?

Yes. We add the meters to your flats now, and you send us the tenant's phone number when someone moves in.

How do tenants buy electricity?

Tenants log in with their phone number, pick an amount and pay by card or bank transfer. The 20-digit token appears on screen and by SMS, and they type it into the meter's keypad.

How does the landlord get paid?

Each payment is split automatically. The landlord's share goes straight to their bank account, usually the next working day. Geomarins never holds the landlord's money.
